If 'SYRE' album has 4 poster designs. This is my version showcasing the use of typography and colours as my medium to portray my vision of the album.
The mixture of composition, scales and colours creates a dynamic relationship with the melody and lyrics by listening to Jaden Smith's debut album 'SYRE', released in 2017.
The posters has their own gradient colours to create an understanding how the artists (Jaden) feels in these songs.
'B' is the opening track to SYRE, it has four consecutive songs which titles to 'B.L.U.E' and each of the letter has its own individual track, making this a story-telling within the four songs.
I thought of wanting to create one of my favourite albums as I was inspired by Frank Ocean's edition, "Boys Don't Cry" magazine as he released his album 'Blonde'.
This project was playful to design as I taught myself to experiment new layouts, textures, colours and many more. For me it has expanded more of my knowledge about InDesign and Illustrator, as each has its own uniqueness to create a specific part on what I wanted to include or not.
